A little bit about me...

I watched the TV show on Sky from the beginning as it focused on two areas of important interest for me, namely rugby and working with underprivileged youth, as I have done for the last 17 years.

Why ruby?

As a 55 year old man, I played rugby from the age of 11 until I finally hung up my boots 8 years ago. I then took up coaching and have worked with youngsters from the age of 7 to 17 years.

Rugby has a wonderful, almost unique ability to engender a feeling of “togetherness”, which can have a really positive effect on young people struggling with low self esteem and lacking in self confidence. These can also be real barriers to employment and the maintenance of successful relationships with others.

Why be a Club Ambassador for Friends of SOHK?

I believe that my personal skills & abilities can have a positive effect on the lives of young people, and can help them grow in confidence, positivity and self reliance.

Why should people donate £3 per month to SOHK?

Look, for most people in employment £3 a month, or £36 a year is an affordable amount that can be used in conjunction with other donations to set up schemes and initiatives to positively effect the lives of some of our most needy young people.
