A little bit about me...

I have been involved in rugby my whole life. I think I had a rugby ball in my hand before I could walk! I have gained so much from the game and the large part of my friendship group, family and several of my career moves have been influenced by the greatest game there is.

I played rugby from the age of 8 and retired through injury 10 years ago, aged 29. Well before my career ended I was involved in coaching and started this aged 18 whilst completing my university course. I became involved in the junior teams at my club (Penallta RFC) and worked with an U12 team through to U16's. At this stage I took a step back from coaching as I was still playing.

I returned to coaching 3 years later when I was injured with the injury that ultimately caused my retirement. I have been heavily involved with the club and the off-field side of the club and have seen the impact the club can have on people of all ages.

Why I became a Club Ambassador for SOHK?

I first saw SOHK on TV and thought what a fantastic programme and process it was and the impact could be spread to those in society that rugby wouldn't normally reach, as well as those that had been lost to the game.

I understand the value of rugby and being involved in such a wonderful club at Penallta, I think that to spread the gospel of rugby at the same time as changing peoples lives is an opportunity not to be missed.

Why donate £3 a month?

Its nothing! the price of a beer, the price of a coffee. The work that happens in rugby clubs all over the land and I know that the rugby community close to me would be willing to offer £3 a month and more in some cases for such a wonderful cause.

Please support SOHK today!
