Peter Grant MA FCA, Finance Director

Peter joined SoHK in January 2024. A qualified Chartered Accountant, who has worked across a range of organisations in the public and private sectors, he has over 30 years experience in developing and promoting the best practice in Financial and Corporate Governance arrangements.

In addition to the given Financial responsibilities, Peter has supported the continuous improvement of all business systems and processes, ensuring that SoHK makes the best use of technology to provide assurance and inform decision-making.

He is also a committed rugby fan, and having largely retired from playing and coaching these days, remains heavily involved in rugby at Garioch RFC, as Club President and Treasurer.

Our Psychology

All of School Of Hard Knocks (SOHK) activities are underpinned by 'the 3Cs'. This framework was originally developed by Dr. Chris Harwood and Dr. Karl Steptoe as a coaching methodology for youth football that incorporated life skills development. Over the years, School Of Hard Knocks has drawn on this evidence-based practice and applied it to SOHK Programmes. The 3Cs seek to improve an individual's confidence, control, and connection.
