Job Description An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team to assist in the planning and management of fundraising events, as well as providing administrative support to the Operations Manager and the wider leadership team at School of Hard Knocks. You will help design and deliver our largest annual fundraising event in London, as well as supporting our regional staff in Wales and Scotland with smaller events. You will also support the Operations Manager with daily administrative and operational tasks in the charity. This is a broad role with potential for career growth. Responsibilities Event Planning & Fundraising Help to plan and execute our annual fundraising dinner in London Support leadership team with research for bids Play a key role in creating, planning and executing new event opportunities Administration & Operations Onboard and off-board staff members Run Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks Organise and maintain electronic filing systems in relation to DBS Support staff with phone and computer issues Liaise with service providers to ensure the efficient running of the office Manage and maintain our storage facilities Update and manage our online shop Maintain accurate records on the database (Salesforce) Undertake any other reasonable duties as identified by the line manager Person Specification Education Education to degree level or equivalent professional experience Knowledge & Experience Essential Direct experience with event management Experience working in office administration Desirable Run a successful event programme from initial concept to completion Experience working with and managing volunteers Experience in fundraising (?)
