As a direct response to those who have lost their jobs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, School of Hard Knocks have created a shortened, online and high impact version of our standard eight week course.

If you have been made unemployed due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Back in the Game short online course is for you.

When will the course take place?
Monday 29th June - Friday 3rd July | Every day from 9am to 12pm

What should I expect from the course?
The Back in the Game course is a pilot course, which means that our specialists are still in the process of shaping and adapting it so that it is accessible for an online audience. The course will include three compact Zoom sessions (live) each morning for one week, with facilitated group work followed by scheduled 1-1 phone calls in the afternoon to support individual needs.

Our dual aim is to help participants both mentally and practically. We want to help participants get into a positive state of mind with some helpful strategies to enable a growth mindset as they consider possible new sectors and employers. We also want to support participants as they get up to speed on their accelerated journey back into work. This includes a CV re-work, thinking through their online profiles and interview preparation and technique.

How do I take part in the course and how do I sign up?
Anyone who has lost their job due to the coronavirus pandemic can sign up for the Back in the Game course. You can do this course entirely from home as long as you have access to Wi-Fi and some means of interacting with the live sessions on a laptop, tablet or even a phone. By utilising the Zoom platform, we will recreate a sense of being together without physically being together.

To register your interest, all you need to do is email [email protected], but be quick as the course is limited to 15 spaces.
