Latest News SOHK Officially Breaks Guinness World Record! We are thrilled to announce that School of Hard Knocks has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the longest ever of rugby union! School of Hard Knocks first broke the Guinness World Record for the longest game of rugby union back in 2015. We held the record for two years before it was broken again by Scotty's Little Soldiers and the Fire Fighters charity in 2017.We are incredibly excited to start the new year by announcing that School of Hard Knocks and Wooden Spoon have OFFICIALLY reclaimed the world record for the longest game of rugby union at 30 hours, 29 minutes and 41 seconds! It was a gruelling 30 hours for our amazing players who were tested both physically and mentally, and not only did they break the world record - they did it on the hottest ever August bank holiday! We also had a brilliant team of volunteers who tirelessly ran water and energy snacks back and forth to the players - without them we would not have been able to achieve this incredible feat. “That was beyond brutal and one of the toughest things I’ve ever done in my life! The heat at times was unbearable. I’m delighted for both teams that we broke the record and with so much money being raised for such an important cause - it was an unforgettable 2 days.” Andy Gomarsall MBE, World Cup winner and SOHK patron The world record match raised an incredible total of £55K, meaning that we will be able to run not one, but two adult courses and reach men and women who need our help the most. So, SOHK is not only breaking records, but smashing barriers. We've already got something special planned for this summer so keep your eyes peeled for some exciting stuff in 2020.
